29th March 1872. First use of 3 hours devotion in Anglican Church in Leicester

4th December 1875. First Midnight Mass celebrated
1st June 1879. Processional cross used for the first time in Centuries in any parish church in Leicester.
12th-15th December 1887. Parochial Retreat attended by 80 members of the parish.
7th November 1895 The Bishop of Peterborough addressed the youth of the parish.
27th March 1896. First service of confirmation held at Saint Paul's
4th February 1900. The protestant agitator, Kensit the Second, and his party attempted to create a disturbance at the 11.00am Mass, but were ejected by the Chief Constable who was present at the service.
6th November 1904. The beginning of sung Eucharist for children at 9.30am.
8th November 1909 Dedication service for the Mission church of Saint Silas.
22nd June 1911. The sacring and coronation of King George V duly observed.
1st November 1911. At the first solemn evensong incense was introduced.
14th September 1912. Vespers of the blessed sacrament sung for the first time at Saint Paul's.
21st September 1914. Perpetual reservation of the blessed sacrament commenced.
January 1920.
The Bethlehem tableaux presented for the first time in Saint Paul's.
4th June 1925.
Pilgrimage from Saint Paul's to the Augustinian Priory at
Ulverscroft where Mass was celebrated for the first time since its despoilation in 1539
6th October 1929.
The English hymnal replaced hymns ancient and modern.
10th May 1931. First outdoor rogation tide procession with Mary de Castro and Saint Andrew.
9th January 1951.

The story of Christmas presented by the Young Wives.
1st January 1961. A service of 9 lessons and carols presented for the first time.
8th - 10th April 1964 T.S.Elliott's Murder in the Cathedral performed by the young members of the congregation
6th November 1966.

A thanksgiving service for Christian Marriage.
18th November 1968 ASB series II used for the first time in church

Low Mass introduced on Wednesday for people not able to attend on Wednesday morning.
May 1972 Vote on Anglican and Methodist Union by General Synod.  St Paul's voted against the merger.
November 1974 First discussion on the ordination of women priests.
1976 Diocesan Jubilee Year.
November 1979 New Lectionary used for the first time. 
November 1980 ASB used at Mass for the first time using Series 3 Rite A.
1981 Parish of St Anne, St Augustine and St Aidan's form the Parish of the Ascension.
1985 Music for Spring Time performed in Church.
1986 St Paul's joins in the Faith in the City project organised by the Diocese.
1989 Church worker Robert Duval appointed to work in the Parish of St Paul and St Augustine's.
1991 120th Anniversary of the Dedication of the Church celebrated with High Mass.
1994 Vote on the ordination of Women Priests.
1995 Towards 2001 project launched at St Paul's.
1997 St Paul's to join in Team Ministry with St Margaret's and St Augustine's under the leadership of Rev. D Berryman, Team Rector.
1998 New Mission in the Parish to encourage new members and to spread the Gospel.
23rd October 2000.
New Worship Centre blessed by the Bishop of Leicester, the Right Reverend Tim Butler followed by a celebration Mass.
5th November 2000. Feast of the dedication of the church, last mass performed in the old church.
13th April 2001. On Good Friday a service Stations of the cross was conducted using the new paintings by Sieger Koder
5th October 2003 First All Age service in the worship centre at 10.15 followed by said mass
